1. TTI SI Survey

Why can't my respondent complete their assessment?

Every once in a while, we get the question- "Why can't I move forward in the assessment?". Here are the most common reasons, and ways to resolve them.

The instructions may have been overlooked by the respondent.

Sometimes nerves get the best of us and cause us to be unable to see what is in front of our eyes. In this instance, it may be a good idea to re-iterate the instructions and let the respondent know that they can find the instructions at the beginning of each section of the assessment.

They are using a mobile device and are unsure how to lock in their responses (mainly for assessments including DISC).

The majority of our assessments are mobile-friendly, which means that the instructions and functionality will adapt when the assessment is accessed on a mobile device.

If an assessment is mobile-friendly, it will have the phone icon in the list of assessments within your account and when creating a link. This icon is shown in the image below:mobilefriendly

The locking mechanism for responses in this version of the assessment is indicated in the instructions. When the answer(s) is locked in, the line will be blue. Reference the image below:

How does the desktop version differ from the mobile version of the assessment?

The desktop version, in most of the assessments, will have two columns. The left side will be the column of choices, and the right column is for the user to indicate what they MOST or LEAST identify with. The user is to drag those responses from the left column to the right column. These instructions are located inside of each assessment specific to the science being assessed.

How to get the user back into the assessment

(if they've already started)

Often, if a user is unable to move from one question to another, they may not have responses to return to. In that case, you have the option to either have them go back into the link they were given and start again, or you can give them another password. If they would prefer to return to where they left off, follow the instructions in this article.
