What happens when there is a tie?

When reviewing a report, sometimes two motivators get the same score. How do we break the tie?

Inevitably you will have a client with the same score on multiple drivers. In the example here, how do we determine where to rank these four drivers?

Tied scores

When your client has the same score for two or more of their drivers in 12 Driving Forces, the mean is used as the tiebreaker for rank.

There are 3 specific ways this is done:

1) If both drivers are above the mean, then the HIGHEST above the mean becomes the primary.

2) If one driver is above the mean and one is below the mean, then the driver above the mean becomes the primary.

3) If both drivers are below the mean, then the driver closest to the mean becomes the primary.
