How to Share Blog Content

The Do's and Don'ts

DO: Quote us in your article with a link back to the post in question. If you’re writing an article about DISC, for example….

DISC is an incredible tool for businesses that want to invest in their employees. “If you’ve ever taken a DISC assessment, you likely have a solid grasp on the ‘how’ of your personal behavior,” said Jaime Faulkner, content manager of TTI SI. “However, a key to success in all things is self-awareness and awareness of how others perceive you, not just how you perceive yourself.”

DON’T: Copy and paste content. This hurts your credibility in website ranking with Google, who will see your copy as a duplicate of existing content.

DO: Use our article as a jumping-off point for your article. If you enjoy a blog and want to share the same topic on YOUR blog, use it as a springboard for your ideas. For example, let’s say you read the TTI SI blog post Help Your Hybrid Team Succeed by DISC Behavior. You want to share this information with your network, but you know you can’t duplicate it (see above). Here’s what to do:

Take some brief notes about your thoughts on the article, for example:
  1. How does that information apply to your clients?
  2. How do you agree with the article?
  3. What is your experience on the subject?

With this article in mind, you could write a blog on the following:

  • Your own experience with hybrid teams
  • How you adapted your behavioral style while working remotely
  • What you think the future of hybrid teams might look like

Use the TTI SI blog to support your arguments and thoughts, and link back to the article. This process is called link building, and improves your SEO. (SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization; very simply, it’s how people find you in search engines like Google.) Linking back to us improves your SEO and our SEO.

DON’T: Ignore the content we create.

Of course, you’re free to do as you please, but we work hard to create this content to directly support you, according to your experiences, industry trends, and the latest research. Harness this tool to work smarter, not harder. We want to support your success!
